Lauren K. Furyk has been with South Hills Orthopaedic Surgery Associates since 2012.
Furyk received her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from West Virginia College and earned her Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Marietta College, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.
“I wanted to be a PA to be able to take part in not only managing patient care but being able to help doctors, as well,” said Furyk. “It’s a good mix between getting my own autonomy and the doctors being able to depend on me.”
“The patients are what keep me motivated, seeing the end results,” she added. “Most of the time it is positive, so it is very encouraging to be able to fix someone for the better.”
Furyk is married with one child and has a dog named Charlie.
